Should I do this? I go to a relatively big high school and my college counselor wants everything before Thanksgiving but I haven't even gotten started on my essays yet >_> (was waiting for fencing season to end)

I mean, would colleges get confused if I send my stuff before I send my app?

K so I am also a senior applying at around this time. I may be in a different situation then you because I go to a mid sized private school. However i don’t believe it should make a difference. I applied early decision to GW and I didnt send in my app till about 4 or 5 days before it was due luckily it was all online. However reccomendation letters were sent on the 1st of November the only thing which I had submitted by then was my preliminary app. The main app I submitted on like the 5th

Also it could be dependent on what your counselor needs. In my case my counselor neede me to finish a senior questionaire that included spaces for my essays and resume and stuff like that, even though I gave my counselor this i still made changes to my essay and I sent it in.
So you should really schedule an appointment with your counselor if possible and find out what they need from you. My counselor said he didnt really need my essays but he wanted my resume.
Another bit of advice I have an extremely good AP English teacher who likes me if its the same case for you, you should really consider asking him or her to read it for you and give you feedback or correct it.
Good Luck
hope you get in wherever it is you want

Sorry i just read my response and realized i didnt really answer your ? In my opinion i dont belive they would get confused because the way i understand it most uni’s make a folder for you when they recieve the first bit of info and they will continue building on it.
Once again good luck and sorry for writing all that uneeded stuff.

D’s private high school required all LOR and transcript requests to be submitted by Nov 1. D did not submit her application to the school she ended up attending until Jan 1. Doesn’t make a difference IMO.

See for me my app was due Nov. 10 I had everything in by then just sent them seperately on different days. My teachers mailed recs first on Nov 1 and i sent finished app and score in on Nov 5 the question that I though Significa was asking is whether it is ok to send in parts of your app seperately and the answer is for most unis yes it is so long as you have everything in by the due date.
