Hi, I'm currently a high school student and have been admitted to UCSB and CSUN. Obviously, the school I really would prefer to go to is UCSB. However, my grades for the current semester aren't looking too good and I could end up with two Ds. I've already submitted the SIR to UCSB and I could have my admission revoked if I get a D or F, let alone two Ds. If they revoke my admission, then I'd be left with no place to go considering the due dates of SIRs for all the other schools I was accepted to. Is it plausible for me to submit the SIR to CSUN too and then decide whether I'm going there after I see what happens with my UCSB admission?

I’m pretty sure you can, but don’t quote me on it.

You can, but you don’t get your money you paid for your SIR back.

Also, you should call and tell UCSB about your grades. They may be able to tell you your chances of being rescinded or not.
