Since admissions IS rolling, is it still acceptable for me to send my application with my first quarter grades, which come out in the end of October, or will it be too late? And is this okay for other schools as well? (Purdue, University of Minnesota)

It’s acceptable, but my question would be why wait? Does your high school use quarter grades in determining GPA or semester grades? If it’s semester grades than there is no reason to wait. Will your quarter grades be substantially higher than previous years and show an upward trend? If so, maybe wait.

I just think I might be a borderline applicant, and am taking the SAT once more plus am hoping for awesome grades first quarter. I would be applying at the end of October. Is this too late? The first quarter grades would only go on my transcript, not into my GPA.

If you’re borderline, you should wait for your better grades to come out. You can apply as late as December and not have any fears about getting pushed out.

Work hard to bring up this semester’s grades!

Thanks for the help, I ended up getting in! And only 2 1/2 weeks after submitting my application, I was emailed yesterday with the good news! GO HOOSIERS! :D

Congratulations!
