This question has probably been asked a quite a few times before, but I'm curious. Is sending so-so or even bad subject scores to colleges (primarily the UCs) a very bad a idea, as in even worse than sending none at all? (My) Common sense would tell me it's better to have some score than none? For example it'd be foolish to think admissions would just assume you would've done great in SAT 2 Math based on a 800 SAT math section score, right? (I only get 700, just an example). Thanks for any answers.

For UCs a 700 is okay. I would say you get ge tas low as 730 with it not hurting admissions at all, when you drop to like 700, 680, etc then it starts to hurt. But Barely. And it is way better to have a 700 in Math2 then no math 2. As for submitting it if you already have enough other ones, idk. Maybe not for math2, where everyone gets 800s, but for lit and stuff a 700 is respectable.

Thanks for the reply. So how about if my score was say around…650. Math isn’t my strong point, I just took it along with US History (which I think I did fine on), because I had a fee waiver and these are my first and only Subject Scores.

Edit :hmm…just found out I can’t just send one score if I took it the same day as the other…

Actually, I just sent 2 out of the 3 tests I took in May when I sent my score report…

I think it’s that if only if you cancel one test, everything gets cancelled, but if you don’t you can still select.
