sending positive thoughts to gulf coast residents

Perhaps a strange twist a fate will occur and the Gustav outcome won't be nearly as bad as the predictions.
If the assumptions are correct however, know that all of you who are affected, either directly or indirectly, are in the hearts, minds and prayers of my family.
It's at times like this that the race for admissions must be place in its proper perspective.

Peace.

Thank you so much. 90% of my very large family is in Louisiana. My in-laws left and have heard reports of major trees down but their house seems to be OK. I spoke with my mother in Baton Rouge earlier and it was about to hit. From news reports, it appears that nobody has power and they won't see it for a while. I haven't gotten any damage reports from them yet - impossible to get through by phone.

It is amazing what a governor with a brain can do for a state. 18,000 evacuated by the state and national guardsmen ready with this governor, verses Katrina governor who didn't even call a mandatory evacuation and didn't know that it was her responsibility to call the guard.

Let's hope the levees hold. Let's hope the mayor has the sense not to let people back in too soon. It was the day after Katrina that all hell broke loose.

We evacuated eight years ago :)
