Hi guys,

I've already submitted my CommonApp for all 7 colleges (RD) but I totally forgot about submitting the SAT Score Reports. Is it too late to rush them and do I need to urgently contact all 7 schools to let them know what's going on? My Subject Tests are from Jan 2013 and SAT1 from Jan 2012.

Thanks a bunch! completely freaking out now.

Yes, you should contact your schools immediately to see whether it’s too late to send scores, even if you rush them. No point spending the money if they tell you it’s too late. Most schools are likely to still accept the scores, but it’s worth making those calls right away.

When were your applications due/sent? If you applied for January 15 deadlines, for example, you do not need to worry about RUSHING SAT scores. Colleges generally expect school reports (transcripts, recommendations, etc) to come AFTER the app is submitted, and the same is usually the case for SAT scores as well. Your APP is what is due on the DUE DATE; the other stuff can follow. (a lot of schools get so backlogged with apps that it can be weeks before they can even verify that your app is complete). If your deadlines were recent, don’t spend that extra $$ for RUSH reports (it is rarely worth it)…CB transmits scores digitally in bulk and the schools match them to apps on their own schedule.

They were all due before 2 Jan 2014. I’ve already sent all of them out by rush (as a precaution) and will probably call the offices up to check. Hope this works and thanks!

It may be too late, but it never hurt to call them to figure out. Some schools would give 1-2 weeks of grace period to receive documents. One should actually submit the score at least 1-2 weeks before the deadline as suggested by Collegeboard as it takes several business days to process. In addition, some schools do not accept rush scores, so you definitely need to check with the adcom.
