I've finished sending in all my applications, but I still have to send the scores. I think I got the sending part figured out, but I'm a bit lost on the timeline because my plans got a little bit reorganized last week. I thought I was done taking tests, but after talking with the sailing coach at Tufts, he said he'd be happy to endorse me for the sailing team, but that trying to boost my ACT score by another point or two might be a really good idea. Here's where it gets confusing...I sent in all my applications earlier this month and didn't say on any that I was thinking of taking the ACT again in Feb (latest date allowed by Tufts). So my questions are:

1) is it a problem that I didn't list the Feb ACT on the application as a test I'm planning to take?
2) Now that I'm not sure if I'm done taking tests, should I still send all the other scores now?

1) Understand that most colleges require all testing to be done by Dec or Jan and thus telling them, or not telling them, you will be submitting the Feb ACT is not going to mean a thing. You need to check on line to see whether any to which you have applied other than Tufts accept it. Usually when they do accept the Feb test, they mention that they cannot guarantee it will arrive on time to be considered. For those, a letter to admissions to add to your file informing them you will be taking and submitting the Feb ACT is advisable so that a final decision is not made on you before then.

2) Obviously, waiting to send scores until after the Feb scores come out to colleges that require testing to be completed by Jan or earlier can result in your being rejected merely for the failure to timely submit scores. Moreover, even colleges that accept Feb tests usually want to get others you hjave before then. Thus, better course is to send prior scores now.
