i just took the sat and sent my scores to 4 different colleges. i'm taking the test again in june and am wondering if i should send the scores to the same 4 schools, or maybe pick some different schools.

The 4 colleges you sent the scores to recently will not receive the June scores unless you list them in June. Each time you take a test and send the scores, those colleges will receive that score and all the prior scores. Past recepients will not receive future test scores unless you send them. It gets expensive. But you usually can assume that your future scores will be better; most kids' scores improve just because they are getting better at taking the test.

You might want to further narrow down your list of schools...8 applications would be expensive too!

I wouldn't discourage you from applying to 8 schools, if you get into the ones you wanted to the cost is nominal.
