Hey everyone, I just have a quick question about sending tax forms.

This year, I am applying RD to Cornell. Their deadline for financial aid stuff is January 2nd. My parents and I have already filled out the CSS profile and Cornell's own financial aid form. However, we still have not sent them the tax forms (W-2s, schedules, etc.) they require.

How should the forms be sent? Should they be mailed, sent electronically, or faxed? The only reason that I'm a bit apprehensive about faxing is that the financial aid office will be closed from Dec. 25th to Jan. 1st because of winter break; the documents might arrive and no one would be there to recieve them (although this might be also be the case with the latter two options).

I was thinking that I could just scan the forms and then send them to Cornell electronically. On the Cornell financial aid website, they have a form for uploading financial aid application materials. Since I was planning on doing this for their own financial aid application, I thought I could just do the same with the tax forms.

Upload Form

For those who want to see it, I posted the link just in case. Do you think scanning the tax forms is advisable? I mean, its definitely faster than snail mail, and I could save some money on postage.

If anyone has had any experience with completing the financial aid process in general, feel free to comment. The whole thing is so stressful and any help would be immensely appreciated.

I don't know if this belongs in the correct place, but feel free to relocate if needed.
