Sending your physical SAT score report?

Do colleges look at a copy of the SAT score report(you receive in the mail) you send to the admissions office, instead of using collegeboard?

I'm a bit tight on money and I need to send my SAT scores to a college in the next 2 days..

**sorry if this is the wrong thread...

yes, it'd be fine if you can get it certified true and correct by an official. thats what i was advised to do after i explained my circumstances to the offices.

thanks for the quick response!

what exaclty would make the score report certified (and what official)?

i think it says on most college sites that they dont accept the student report, and that they must be send officially through college board. im sure theres a fee waiver.. its about 12 - 16 bucks i think.

Well, unfortunately, unless your college says otherwise, they usually require an official report from the College Board and the failure to provide it could result in your being denied admission solely because you failed to provide an item required for your admission application to be considered. If there is a money issue, I would get on the phone and call the college now to find out if they will allow just sending a copy. You can apply for a fee waiver when ordering through the College Board, although that could slow down process somewhat.
