Sooo is your schedule gonna be easier or harder next year?
Are you going to relax and just chill senior year or are you going to take a hard load so that colleges don't see you slacking off?

I'm trying to reach a balance between the two so I won't seem like I'm slacking off but still have time to enjoy senior year.

Classes:

Any comments on--
AP Lit
AP Stat
AP Comparative Politics (hard?)
AP US Gov (much easier than AP Comparative?)
AP Calc BC

Thaaanks guys.
(We choose senior year schedules in a week or so..)

I don't know about you guys but..I'm REALLY excited for senior year. It's going to be a blast.

Fact: Calc BC is not fun when you are struck with senioritis. No one wants to learn about Taylor polynomials when you're weeks away from graduating.

Stat is easy.

I'm a senior and only taking AP Econ, AP Psych, and Calc BC for my APs.

I'm taking five AP's (the most possible with the required religion) and two dual enrollment math classes next fall. Definitely the strongest couseload at my school, but I'm only top 20% so there will be no reward for it.

Yeah, those aren't all the AP classes I plan to take.
Just the ones I'm having seconds thoughts on.
I'll probably take AP Lit because getting stuck in regular English ...would not be good. I just wanted some feedback on whether people thought the class was easy or hard.

As for AP Comp and AP US Gov..I'm only going to take one but I'm not sure which yet. AP Comparative sounds really interesting but I heard it's usually pretty hard while AP US GOv is a piece of cake. I kinda want the easy way out senior year but still, the material covered in AP Comp sounds much more interesting.

I'll have to take Calc BC. Is it harder than AB?

Anyone think that AP Stat was hard? Everyone on CC seems to think it's extremely easy but apparently, not many people at my school does. Of course, the class is mostly AP Calc dropouts...hahah. Do you use your calculator a lot?

Hahah yeah I'm not worried about senioritis as much as I am about just getting through the beginning of the year with college apps, SATs, ECs, and my classes. After that, the teachers relax a bit with seniors because they know how stressful the first semester is...

Stat requires a lot of calculator use. I took it as a college course over my sophomore summer so I don't know how different the yearlong class is.

BC is way harder than AB. People who were getting easy As in AB are struggling to make a B in BC.

I'm in regular English this year and it's such a relief after three years of Honors English. It's my slack class of the year. You meet tons of new people if you try to take a regular class once in a while. The AP group of students get boring.

Yeahhh Stat is the class that I'm kinda doubting now. I mean, I can use my calculator and I'm usually pretty good with it. I just don't know if I want to deal with graphs/charts. But ...wouldn't it be easier than AP Calc?

Really?? I've heard BC was quite easy since you learned most of the material in AB and a lot of it was review and then adding some extra steps to stuff you already know?

Hahahha yeah but at my school, there's a big gap between AP and regular. Even kids who know they'll get a C or a D in AP will take AP just because the people there will be at least half way intelligent...

Intelligent people never have worthwhile information (e.g. time of gang fights and good viewing places, druggy drama, which places don't card). Stick with the low lives. You will get far in life that way. Farther than any A+ in Calculus will take you.

My senior year schedule is going to be my hardest so far in high school. I signed up for...

AP Statistics
AP U.S Government
AP Microeconomics
AP English Literature
AP European History
AP Human Geography
Intermediate weightlifting.

My goal is to try to improve me rank a bit. I'm currently in the top 5% in my class of 440, but my goal is to make it to the top 10. It will be tough. In addition to that, I'm going to be president of my school's key club and possibly hold 1-2 other important club positions.

AP Lit and Comp (hopefully... have to get a 4.0 and an A in English this year)
AP Econ (semester)
AP US Gov (semester)
Calculus
Psychology (semester)
World Literature (semester)
Office Aide (semester)
Christian Vocations (semester)
Search for Truth (semester)
Physics

i take ap calc bc and ap stat. i never took calc ab because its not even offered at my school. AP stat is SIGNIFICANTLY easier than calc bc. i only do slightly better in stat but i have to work so much harder to understand the material for calc. my clas studies together for calc whereas for stat, i took the required notes for hw every night that the teacher checks but other than that i have never studied outside of class. take ap stat!!

trust me, im a senior now and i have procrastinated my whole life. my study skills are terrible because i dont really know how so i never did much. in the end somehow it has worked out because at the end of this year i will have taken 9 APs and will graduate in the top 10%. however, its march and we have 3 months left. ive found myself failing occasionaly but just in general not doing anything due to true senioritis. dont overload your schedule. youll regret it. you've worked hard for 3.5 years most likely - so take a break enjoy senior year before college

I'm not sure how my senior year will turn out to be, though I've long debated whether to take Ap Chemistry or Physics... though with getting a C in Ap Biology for both two marking periods, and looks like I will get a C this third marking period I may start leaning towards physics and human anatomy as one of my electives. Plus, there are talks that my school may not even offer Ap Chemistry and Ap Biology next year.

Likely senior year schedule:
Ap Us History
Ap Calculus
Ap Composition or English
Computers ( required, but may only be a semester class)
Human Anatomy
Physics or Ap Chemistry

Looks like:
AP Calc AB
AP Bio
English IV Honors
Natraul Resources Honors
Horticulture 2 Honors
E-Commerce 2 Honors
Only have 4 classes a semester, which limits us to two APs a year, plus since they are online I dont want to overload myself too much, but I might take AP US History or World HIstory if I can get that worked out instead of E-Commerce 2
And dont forget Senior Project.
