Senior Schedule

Hey! I'm a little nervous about the courseload for this upcoming year, and I was wondering if you guys had any advice for any particular class. I've already looked through the test preparation area of this site, but I figured it wouldn't hurt to ask for more input. Thanks!

AP Biology
Study Hall
AP Calc AB/BC
Computer Science
AP Lit/Comp
AP U.S. Government and Politics
AP Microeconomics

I’ve never taken any of those classes but the schedule looks very doable.

hahahahhaha CC kids

"yeah 5 ap’s totes doable. "

Bio’s a lot of memorization, so a lot of work but not necessarily difficult. Calc should be easy enough if you’re a math person, so only you would know whether it’s difficult or not. Lit was a lot of essays and reading, but also not necessarily difficult. Gov was a joke. Micro could depend a lot on your teacher.

Don’t worry too much. You’ll get through the work. Senior year will be fun.

^^Legit totesmigotes doable yessiree.

^That’s because they’re not the hardest AP’s. Don’t get me wrong- the schedule is challenging, but it’s much easier than a schedule full of AP classes such as Physics C, Calc BC, Stats, Chemistry, etc… The AP classes ladyjacket has chosen are very doable when taken together. For example, Bio is basically the only one that requires much memorization, and USG and Micro are considered some of the more easier AP’s.

EDIT: This post is meant for quintillion.

I’m not really a math-orientated person, so I’m sure Calculus will be the hardest for me out of all of these. Do you guys have any tips for either class? And will taking Calc prepare me for the Math I and II subject tests, or should I get a prep book?

If you have a good calculus teacher, then don’t worry about calculus. You should do fine. And calculus will not prepare you for math II/math I subject tests. Math II tests up to trigonometry and math I tests before trigonometry.

Although I think I can recall a “calculus” question on math II once…

Of course there is always a question on the Math II that can be done [ and rather easily ] using the calculus.

You’re schedule looks fine. The only real difficult AP class I see is AP Biology. All the other AP classes are easy and understandable, Biology might just give you a bit more work than the others. You should be fine, especially with a study hall. And also, try to resist the temptations of senioritis ;)
