Senior Blues. Do you have it?

has anyone been down lately?
depressed when they wake up in the morning?
wanting to cry for no good reason?
not feeling right in your own skin?

My best friend and I......both have really low spirits lately for no good reason at all. I've been tlaking to this guy online, and he's been having the same problem.

Do you all think it's because we're itching to get out of home? Anyone have any thoughts, comments, agreements?

I did have it...before I contracted a virulent strain of Senioritis. I think I was depressed mostly b/c I was too loaded down w/ AP courses, ECs, work, etc. and didn't have enough time for myself. On New Year's I made a commitment to myself, started taking voice lessons and setting aside time to meditate/relax every day; these actions have done wonders for my spirits!! Now I am more focused on enjoying my last few months of high school, working only as hard as I need to to maintain my GPA, and NOT stressing as much.

....that'd be a good trick

A friend of mine who got in early to UVA and I are both feeling awful- mainly because we were dumb enough to take an extremely hard senior class load.
I just keep thinking that college will be better... And I've got less than three months until I graduate...

I have been soooo depressed.....Like everyday I wake up just not wanting to go on with the day. I never have liked my high school and now that it's my senior yr..I'm so ready to breakaway from this stupid little town. I hate everyone at school, they don't like me...time to move on...June 7th hurry...

Well, im sad, but not kill yourself sad. Good thing I graduate in May.

amen socrates, a-a-a-amen!

the only people i will really miss in this awful place are one friend i made this year at school (maybe one or two more on occassion), 2 or 3 people i work with, and one of my friends who already lives near austin anyway. and in a high school of 4,000 people, thats sure not much missing going on!

I think I'll miss my friends in VA, but I'm so used to moving that I won't really get too depressed. I know that sounds awful, but my dad's in the army, so I'm used to having to make new friends every few years...
Coincidentally, one of my friends from CA got into NYU ED, so I might be running into her sometime.

Of course, I hate this little suburb in which I currently live, so I can't wait to move...

kjdhvhusdbvsdkm osdkjn sdfhbvjmdkomfd jfbnv is all i have to say....

looks like theres alot of anti social people in our class....weird

i find a camel turkish gold or cigars with your friends gets rid of "depression" very effectively

::sits in corner and refuses to talk to others::

LOL, I can't wait to meet all you people, its going to be interesting

basically senioritis???

^^basically sums up my entire 4 years in high school. I'm so close to the end, but three more months of this ********.

senioritis.....is not what jolie described......she described clinical depression

senioritis is being lazy as ****, its harmless

Aw.. I'm not anti-social... I just move a lot, so I'm used to having to leave people behind.

How many of us live in a suburb?? (I do.)

It's amazing how so many of us don't care about leaving our "friends" behind. That goes to show that had circumstances been different, we wouldn't have hooked up with them in the first place (that's how I feel)

:) so....I don't think we're anti social--we just haven't met friends that are worthy of us. :) haha wishful thinking, perhaps?

thank the dear, sweet spirit thing that we'll be at NYU next year, with ample friend selection. or at least an entire city to get lost in :)

BandNerd: I had the dumb idea of taking a hard schedule too....I keep asking myself, "what the bloody **** was I thinking?!"

Firewalker: I'm excited too!! (haha, despite the bouts of "clinical depression") what dorm are you looking into? (assuming NYU is your 1st choice?)

I think we should all habla on AIM. I'm jaimelajolie .

i live in a suburb too.

anddd its not that i dont care about leaving my friends behind, its just that it took me until THIS YEAR to make friends that i actually really really really like. so i went into the friendships knowing we would be going our separate ways. but two of them i know will be able to come visit me several times because of relatives and one of them already lives in another city so it's not much of a change =)

and im VERY excited to make new friends in new york! hopefully ones that will last for a good while!

This thread is scary; for all you suicidal people out there, you must realize that midyear reports are sent, and decisions will be arriving soon. RELAX for god sakes; C's are not going to kill you. Just don't get in trouble. Go Senioritis!!!
