Kiddo got her packet today (hooray) and had a question regarding what is sent to NMSF by the school. The paperwork states "Your school must provide a complete record of high school courses you have taken, grades earned, and course work you will take in grade 12. The school also is to notify NMSF of any noticeable decline in your academic coursework during the current year." So -- two-ish questions: 1.) In the packet sent to NMSF in October, are senior grades (in progress...) sent or just the senior's course schedule? 2.) Does NMFS require a mid-year report of grades, or just rely on the school to let them know if there's a problem?

I don’t believe a mid-year report is sent. And, I doubt any school notifies NMCorp to report a later drop in grades.

As for “in-progress” grades senior year, I doubt those get sent. I would imagine only the grades from 9-11 get sent because a transcript gets sent and “in progress” grades wouldn’t be on that.

Since schools send the packets back in late October/early Nov (I think), there really aren’t any semester grades to send. Quarter grades aren’t usually reported outside a school because those aren’t “transcript grades”.
