Senior here, should I retake?

Well I'm a senior applying to colleges this year.
My first SAT was a 2020 in January.
I took it again for the second time in October, and got a 2280 (800W 750CR 730M).

I was really disappointed at my math section, since all of those points I lost were due to purely idiotic mistakes on my part, and I honestly believe I could have easily pulled an 800 in math also.

So I have a couple of questions:
-Disregarding the composite, would the 730 in Math hurt my chances at competitive engineering schools? 730 looks really weak compared to the hordes of people who get 800s on Math.
-Should I retake?
-In the end, does it make much of a difference comparing a 2280 to the 2300s?

My main concern is my math score. I'm happy with the 2280 composite, but worried about how my math is so low. All feedback would be greatly appreciated!

If you know you can retake it and get an 800 in math, especially for an engineering school, go for it. Otherwise, 2280 is a great score!

Alright, thanks, so I think I’m going to retake in December, as I have SATII’s in November. Any last opinions?
