Senior: Is the November SAT II Too Late?

I'd like to take my SAT II Tests in November as I don't think I'm quite prepared for the October one in Physics. Anyways, would it be too late to take it in November if I'm a Senior this year? How many SAT II Tests do I need anyways for a competitive college? I heard before that is enough because the writing got incorporated into the SAT I, but this year I'm hearing that more and more schools are asking for 3 again..

If you're applying to somewhere ED/EA, you'd have to send in the scores after the application deadline, but most schools don't look at the apps until December, so you'll be okay. November isn't too late for RD, by any means. You normally need 3 SATIIs, unless you took the New SAT and it included writing and the college specifies they only need 2 (you just have to look up for specifics). I would take three just in case, it's all in one sitting anyway.

If you're not comfortable with just the Physics one, how about you take the ones you are comfortable with at an earlier sitting? Then you don't have to worry so much.

Would it be alright to send in the scores after the ED/EA deadline? I may take two SAT IIs in October and Physics in November. Would it be bad to send in my Physics SAT II for EA/ED after I've submitted most of my application already?

Bump! Somebody!

I'm talking about ED/EA here. Most schools say that the last time you may take your SAT is on Oct 8 and the last time you can take your SAT IIs is Nov __. It should be fine to send your scores after you've submitted your application. There's a part on the application in the Test Section that says: Date Taken/ Date To Be Taken (or something like that), so for the tests you're taking in Nov. write 11/2005 and then I'd write an e-mail or something making sure you're allowed to do that/ notifying them that you are doing that. That's what I'm doing for cornell, but they're website says it's fine. GOOD LUCK! :-D
