Senior / Junior Year Schedule

Hey, guys! I just wanted to ask for some opinions on my schedules, senior year specifically.

Junior Year:
APUSH
AP Lang
AP Stats
AP ES
Honors Precalc
Honors German
Chemistry

Senior Year:
AP Physics 1/2 Blended
AP U.S. Gov
AP Calc AB
AP Economics
DE Art History
Ceramics (art credit requirement)

Why AP Stats? Do you have a particular interest? No need to take it just because it is AP.
Why AP ES? Do you have a particular interest? No need to take it just because it is AP.
Can you take Honors Chem instead?

Senior year? Where is english? What about German?

Why DE Art History?

What is your potential future major?

@bopper I am planning on a double major in Statistics and Political Science. I am genuienly interested in these courses. My bad. I am taking Honors British Literature as a senior. I guess I do not need to take DE Art History, but I thought it would be interesting. Is this a bad idea? I cannot take AP Economics next year, because the class is prioritized for seniors, and it is already filled. I am not going to have space for German, because I have to do my school’s stupid requirements.

AP Stats is algebra-based - statistics for statistics majors is calculus-based, so you don’t need AP Stats.
Do keep DE Art History since you’re interested.
What level German will you have reached? 3? 4?

@MYOS1634 I will be in German 4. What’s wrong with me taking AP Stats? I have an open period and that’s the only other AP offered to me other than AP Comp Sci.

My daughter got a lot out of AP stats junior year. She said some of the material helped her on the ACT and they had some very cool projects that gave her different experience with data analysis. I say if you are interested, go for it!

Nothing’s wrong with it. Actually it’s a great class and one must take in college even if you could get credit for AP stats, because regardless of the internship it fits under “relevant coursework” on your resume (he classes don’t count). However don’t overdo it and if there’s one class you can drop it’s that one.
