Digi: WHAT??????!!!!!

the letter idea was good... cutting wires probably not so.

My school always does beachballs at graduation. My year the school cop let about 50+ of us seniors into the school at midnight to move a bunch of desks and chairs from classrooms into the main hallway. The year before me the seniors got an old car on the rims and put it in the exit lane of the student parking lot, which was also the place where parents dropped off students. You couldn't get out of the parking lot because it was only one lane going in, so they had to bring in cops to direct traffic. The year before that the seniors put an old VW in the main hall. The administration left it there for a few days, but then the Juniors painted "Juniors" on it, and the next day it was gone.

Dig, back when I taught chemistry full time I used to make a hobby out of asking my husband's friends (some of them now engineering executives at Fortune 500 companies) what they did in HS chemistry when the teacher wasn't looking. Every single one of them had a story, and the more wine I gave them, the better the stories got. The best (worst) was the one who stole the materials to make dynamite, made it in the family bathtub, and blew up the bathroom. "The only reason I didn't burn down the house was because I reached in and turned on the cold water." He showed me the burns on his arm, too. The least noxious was the one who distilled pure ethanol in the back of the room WHILE the teacher was lecturing.

There was some talking about a parking lot thing at our school but definitely not a good idea. Ditto all the chemical posts....times have changed..if they have to bring in cops to direct traffic, the kids will pay for it, if an accident is caused there could be a liability issue....as far as all the chemical stuff like the other posters said it will be a problem in our post 911 era. Boy, I didn't know when I put up the OP that this many stories would get posted....
