Hello,

I will be finalizing my senior schedule in a couple of weeks, and I would love your advice on one of my class periods! So far, my schedule looks like this:

S1
Marketing
Humanities Honors
AP Calc (yearlong)
Co - op

S2
Physics Honors
AP Lit
AP Calc (yearlong)

As you can see, I have not decided on my 4th period second semester class. I am involved in DECA, which means that I must take at least one marketing class every year. Unfortunately, the only one left for me to take is a non - honors class. Also, my job needs me to co - op for at least one semester and that is obviously not a weighted class. All of my other classes are the highest level for that class offered at my school, but I am worried about my schedule not being rigorous enough as I have two non - weighted classes, and I still have to fill in another class. My options for that class are Journalism (non-weighted), another co-op period, or a Microsoft computer class (I believe it is honors, but I am not 100% sure). Which class do you think would be the best to take? I would like to take journalism (I took it last year as a non honors class), but I am hesitant to do so because it is not honors or AP. I am planning to major in English if that makes any difference to admissions officers. I'm not really a big fan of computer classes as I didn't enjoy my middle school one, although I haven't taken one in high school and the skills learned would certainly be valuable. As far as co-op, I'd rather not do it twice in one year, but it allows me to pocket some extra money before college. However, I honestly enjoy learning, and I don't necessarily want to take another class away to go work. Any advice is appreciated. Thank you!
