AP Bio

AP Calc

AP English Lit

honors physics

some random social studies class on VHS. Most likely something cool-sounding like Criminology

oceanography / meteorology (1/2 year each)

As you might be able to tell, I’m very interested in sciences.
Two questions
Should I replace oceanography and meteorology with anatomy? I have a feeling AP bio, anatomy, and physics all at the same time would not be fun.
How much do you think not taking Spanish 5 will hurt me? I have absolutely zero interest in foreign languages and will finish Spanish 4 with an A at the end of this year.

Why not continue Spanish? It doesn't sound like your that enthusiastic about your 7th or 8th hours...

(Although I haven't taken anatomy, I think it might complement AP Bio nicely. At the same time, I'm taking AP Calc BC, AP Bio, and AP Phys right now (w/ some others) and those 3 are a lot of work. If your Calc is AB I'd make the rest your schedule harder, if it's BC then you have a difficult schedule. Who I am kidding, I have no idea...good luck w/ senior yr.

I took anatomy and AP bio as a junior last year. I thought they complemented each other very well and they were both fun classes. However, our anatomy teacher was one of those rare types in whose class one can do very little work other than take notes, be relaxed (he was very lenient about just about everything) and yet learn a lot about the subject. It was definitely a great class but your teacher may be different and more demanding.

Which calc are you doing? I'm taking AP chem and Calc BC and the combined workload is sometimes very difficult to handle. I felt that Bio was a much less demanding class (homework-wise) than chem so as long as your bio class is similar you should be fine.

My advice is if you're doing AB or feel like you can handle some extra work senior year, take the anatomy because it is a fascinating and useful class. Unless you plan to become a meteorologist or a deep sea welder. Good luck next year!

Some more info:
-The calc is calc AB
-AP Bio at my school is insane. They regularly have 3-4 hrs of homework a night. Close to 100% get 5s on the test and one girl I know who's now majoring in bio at college says she needed to know more stuff for AP Bio than she does in her intro class at college now. The same teacher teaches anatomy but anatomy is not nearly as intense.

Spanish 5 shouldnt hurt you too much...youve technically taken 4 levels of a language, and even if colleges that suggest 4 years say that you havent (based on years rather than levels), you could easily demonstrate your spanish knowledge through an SAT 2/AP if you wanted.
