Senior Self-studying AP. Worth it?

Hi, I'm Junior right now, and will be Senior next year.
So my school doesn't offer a lot of APs.
I took some APs this year by self-studying JUST to impress admission officers that I self-studied. (I regretted a week before AP exams, looking at all the materials I have to cover)

I'm thinking of self-studying some APs again.
But because I'm self-studying those, nothing will be mentioned about APs in my report card. Even if I write on the application form that I'm self-studying APs, the officers wouldn't know if I'm actually studying or how I'll do... you know what I'm saying?

So.... what should I do? should I self-study or choose another way of showing that I'm challenging myself.

Maybe a Universtiy Course will help?
What do you guys think?

At this point, self-studying additional APs probably wouldn't do much in terms of your impression on the admission officers. However, if you have a genuine interest in it, then what's forcing you to take the AP exam? A good way to figure out whether or not you're actually interested in the material is to tell yourself you won't be taking the AP exam.

Of course, getting the college credit also helps, if you study well enough. If you're just looking for a way to show them that you challenge yourself, I'd move on to other things.
