Alright, so, day I’m accepted to MIT on Saturday, awesome. However, as the title implies, I may have run into a bit if a senior slide. Now it’s not like I’m getting C’s or anything, but would it jeopardize an acceptance if, say I got a few A-'s or a B+? These are in AP Computer Science, Dual Enrollment German 4 and maybe AP Macroeconomics. It’s definitely lower than other trimesters, GPA-wise, but would it be serious enough to revoke an offer of admission? I’m kind of worried about it, but it’s also been by far the the most difficult trimester I’ve had considering class load and extra curricular.
A pure perfectionist, I believe?
B’s are completely fine. D’s and F’s are what you should worry about.
Also, don’t be overconfident this Saturday. If you’re expecting an acceptance this Saturday, you might end up disappointed.
I’m not expecting an acceptance by any means. I’m more just nervous and anxious and wanted a second opinion on it. Also, I am most definitely a perfectionist, haha.
If you get into MIT and choose to accept the offer it’s good to get used to seeing some B’s on your report card. Many of us here at MIT see B’s quite often. And many of us see much worse for the first time. The key is to strive to do your best, not to strive for perfection. There is no such thing as perfect, really.
^Yes, get used to B’s and maybe occasional C’s at MIT. You should strive for a good understanding of the subject material, not just an A in the class.
So having a B+/A- or two on one of my last high school transcripts wouldn’t jeopardize any possible offer of admission?
Were you referring to your last semester of senior year?
The decision will come out in few days, and they will not see your grade from last semester before that.
You are fine as long as you don’t get D’s and F’s.
Second trimester of senior year. I know it won’t affect decisions that come out Saturday, I’m worried that if I am accepted, if could result in a revocation of the offer of admission. It seems I’m fine, though.
