Up until my daughter, a senior year has not taken AP classes but rather took Honors classes in Chem, Physics and Literature as she was just too busy with music. She's in a public school and they seem to really make it hard for anyone to do well in any of the AP classes yet the kids get 5's after getting C's in the course.

To help out in this area, for her Senior year she is taking four AP's.

Anyway, it seems they run the AP Bio Class with no A's or curve and you can pretty much only get a B and the tests are coming back for my daughter in the 70's and that is higher than most other kids and she's going to get that B at this point. I think that since this is senior year we want her to look good at the end of the first semester and maybe she should drop the AP Bio course because the teacher is really enjoying punishing the students and we don't want her to have that kind of experience.

If she has no other science class Senior year but ends high school with 4 yrs Math, 4 yrs English, 4 Yrs Foreign Language will it be really bad for the good schools if she has only three science years : Bio A, Chem Honors A, and Physics Honors A and no senior science class.

She intends to get a Bachelor of Arts studying Art and taking enough science courses in college to take the MCATS and go to medical school if she wants to (Premed is not a major). Or should she eat the B and not worry about it. She could use the free time from dropping AP Bio to have a life as seven classes is really heavy and shouldn't six be enough?

Any advice. Personally I want her to drop so she can be happier without the uninspiring teacher but she actually loves the AP Bio material- she is freaked over getting seventy percent test scores with no curve for the class average. We can withdraw with no mark on her record by end of October.

Any advice?
