Hi,
I am currently a junior in a BFA acting program and am looking to transfer to NYU. I wanted to ask current Gallatin students what is the school looking for in an application. There are several reasons why I want to transfer, but what interests me about Gallatin is the fact that I know exactly what I want to study/pursue in my career and what my current educational environment is lacking (as well as what I wouldn’t be able to get from the Acting program at Tisch, for instance). For that reason, I wouldn’t mind doing an extra year at NYU if I had to (I know you have to take 64 credits in-residence).
My college GPA is at 3.89, but because I was not educated in the United States, my high school grades are not the best. I have 110 college credits and have worked with some of the best people in my field. I believe that my recommendation letters would be stellar, as I have a great relationship with my advisors.
Thank you.
