Hey everyone!
So I’ve recently been accepted into NYU’s Gallatin’s school and I’m extremely grateful, yet I’m not a big fan of the city. I have lived in Brooklyn my whole life and I was so excited to move away for college. I was kinda forced into applying into NYU. This is the best school that I got accepted into and I even received a decent scholarship. Again, I am super grateful! However, I’ve always wanted the typical college experience (Sporting events, campus life, grassy fields, school pride, college town? etc.). I’m going to dorm my first year to see how it goes, but I most likely will be unable to afford dorming the other three years. I’ll end up commuting or sharing rent with friends (if I make any). Any advice on how to cope or alternatives??
Alsooooo, I am collecting a list of 3 schools that I will keep in the back of my mind, in case I decide to transfer after freshman year. Can you list colleges with equal prestige as NYU, great financial aid and acceptance rate for Transfer students, typical college experience (college town?), super diverse, and preferably on the east coast? I was thinking about Boston University or USC (even tho this is in Cali).
Thank you!!
