Senior Year AP Course submission HELPPP~~

Hi! Right now, I’m trying to decide on my Senior Year course load. My question is: if one indicates that s/he is taking an AP course in senior year on their Common Application, does s/he have to follow through and take the May exam? This is in the context of a student wanting to take a AP Course for fun but not planning to take the Final Exam.

For example, if I indicate that I am taking AP Stats, will i HAVE TO take the AP Stats exam in May? What would be the consequence if I do not follow through? I’m not looking towards attaining credit for the course.

THANKS!

As long as your high school doesn’t require you to take the AP exam, there is not any consequence to not taking it as a senior when you have already been accepted to college. Many seniors don’t take APs if their chosen college doesn’t accept the credit.
