when listing courses on college apps, how do colleges know about the ap courses u took senior year? like, i am planning on taking 7 ap courses, but will only have completed four of them by junior year. other other three are during senior year, but i just realized that i will be taking the ap exams down in may, way after college admissions time form novermber to march.

When you apply for college, colleges ask what courses you are taking senior year and usually that information is also provided with transcript by counselor. AP scores are not required for college admission, majority of colleges don’t consider them for admission and those that do will not give them significant weight and you can just self-report prior AP test scores as part of application if you want college to know your scores.

I’m assuming that you’ll be using the common app to apply. If you’re not yet familiar with what the common application is about google for it, or look over the section on this forum titled common application.

On the common app you will be able to list the AP courses that you are taking senior year. If you run out of room in the section provided you can list additional courses (free form) on an attachment.
