Senior year AP Tests

So this year is my Senior year and i was dedicated (or foolish) enough to take 6 AP classes. So I know AP scores don't matter for admissions, but I know the colleges would like to know whether you are going to take exams or not. So if I tell them I plan to take all 6 this year, and then they accept me, then I tell them I am not prepared for 1-2, and I will not take these, this doesn't leave grounds for losing admissions right? Would a university really take away admissions for something like this?

Or should I bite the bullet, and just get a bad score?

Most just assume if you're taking the class then you're taking the test. By the time those scores arreive in July, they don't matter. The only thing that really matters post admission is your final transcript.

You don't have to tell them about taking the tests at all; the Common App doesn't even ask. Just list your classes (verified by your transcript); by the time May rolls around you'll know which college you're going to (or waitlisted by). Check their websites for their AP credit policy and you'll know which tests you might want to take, and which tests you might want to skip (if no credit's given). Then come July, you can send your official AP score report to receive whatever credit you're entitled to.

Yes, depending on where my son gets accepted, he may or may not take him senior SATs. His first choice school doesnt give credit, so why take them? He is still taking the classes and will be dilligent.

So, dont say you are not prepared. Just do not take them. It will not cause a recind, though shining on the class and getting a poor grade might.
