<p>Once he got all his applications in, S2 is having the time of his life this year. He is on the Speech & Debate team where he has been busy qualifying for a number of major state and national tournaments - now he spends all his free time getting ready for them. The team is like a second family to him, and I’m glad that S&D occupies so much of his time that he has no time to get into trouble. </p>
<p>I have had to bug him to keep his grades up… he missed some scholarship application deadlines… and he never wants to do anything with me… but I’m glad he has something that he is so passionate about. He is doing this for the love of debate, and not to enhance his resume (too late for that). He will cherish these memories later…</p>
