I was wondering which would look better for colleges and which would be more beneficial for the majors that I'm pursuing. I'm planning on double majoring either in political science and international affairs, international affairs and legal studies, or international affairs and minor(or maybe major) in Arabic. Would it look better(for my senior year) to take AP European History, AP Art History, or sociology(non ap or intensified)?

Also, in your opinion which is harder AP US Government & Politics or AP US History?

Your Major; AP European History > Sociology > AP Art History (none of these classes relate to Political Science THAT much, however).

Admissions: AP Art History > AP European History > Sociology

Probably AP US Government is easier than AP US History, you should DEFINITELY take both, those two classes greatly has to do with Political Science.

If you’re already taking a bunch of other AP classes, take sociology. It relates to political science pretty well, and the seniors at my school say it’s a very stimulating class. Of course, if you can handle another AP class and are interested in the subject matter, then take it by all means.

If you are choosing between AP US Govt and APUSH, go for AP Govt. While both are critical for political science, govt would probably be more beneficial. Also, it’s an easier class at most schools, so

I’m taking AP US History this year and I’m doing pretty well in it that’s why I was wondering which is easier. I already signed up for AP Gov and I’m definitely not dropping that class. I’m also taking intro to law and world affairs next year so those two will definitely be helpful.

But thank you both for your opinions! I’ll see if I can drop a class so I could take sociology AND either ap art/euro, I was planning on replacing sociology with an AP history class but we’ll see.
