Senior year classes: full schedule or semi-full schedule and college application

My school currently offers 7 credits per year. To graduate, we are required to have 21 credits. So, my senior year (next year) I will technically only need 5 credits. There is only 2 ap classes available to take next year, which I am taking, as well as one honors class that I am taking. I will also be taking one ap class online. Paired with one other class, that is all that I have a desire to take as they are the ones I believe are necessary and will help my college resume.

If I were to take a full schedule I would end up taking two filler classes, as I have taken all of the higher level classes up to this point. (I would most likely end up taking a PE class and a current events class.

My question is whether taking only 5 credits this semester would weigh poorly on a college resume. I personally do not want to add to my work load for classes that I see as worthless so I can devote my time to the important classes and possibly work more hours after school.

Bump…

I think taking two free classes when you’re only in three APs seems kind of slacker-ish. I think that filler classes (besides maybe PE) are better than flat out free periods.
