senior year classes

I will be applying to FSU and UF next fall. At this point, I am picking out my classes for next year. Is it important to chose a strong (AP and Honors ) classes. How do these schools look at it.

Also, instead of taking 6 classes, I was considering taking 5 and getting out early for work which I can do............but, the college counselor told me it was not a good idea. She said that I should take 6 academic courses and that taking 5 was for kids who werent looking for college. What do you think? Im having a hard time finding 6 classes I want. So far I have AP Psychology, AP literature, AP Stats, AP government, Anatomy and phys honors and the holocost honors.

Would like to drop one of the honors courses but not sure its a good idea already have one free period.

i don’t know about the relationship with UF and FSU so it’s hard to say how rigorous your schedule needs to be, but i think if you want to go to these schools then you should probably listen to your counselor, since she knows the process pretty well (at least she should). if 6 classes is the norm at your school, then taking 5 may be a bad idea.
