Today, I just changed my schedule for my classes next year (my senior year of HS). They are:

AP Literature and Composition (2 semesters)
ASB Leadership (2 semesters)
American Sign Language II (2 semesters)
Civics/Global Topics (2 semesters)
Psychology (1 semester)
Advanced Math Topics (1 semester)
Chemistry (2 semesters)

The only AP classes offered at my school are AP literature, AP language, AP statistics, AP calculus, AP gov., and AP US history. We used to have honors English as well, but they got rid of them. We now have no honors classes. I have already taken AP statistics. I took a semester of AP language this year but the teacher was so unfair/bipolar/inconsistent/etc. that I couldn't tolerate it any longer (she subtracted and added to people's grades as she pleased).

I'm trying to avoid calculus at all costs (it would kill my GPA, and I'm not a math fanatic... AP stats was bad enough). AP gov. would be too much for me to handle as well.

What I'm worried about is that I won't be able to handle my schedule. Everyone I know has some decent electives (I would love to take the second semester of psychology, or marketing, creative cooking II, drawing and painting, or yearbook...) when I have more difficult/academically focused classes because I was told it helps with college admission to have semi-difficult classes your senior year.

After I finish this school year, I will have the following credits (1 credit = 1 year)
Math: 4 (algebra 1 [8th grade], geometry, advanced algebra/trig., AP stats)
English: 3 (English I, English II, one semester AP language, one semester English III)
Science: 2 (Integrated earth/physical science, biology)
Social studies: 2 (one semester geography, one semester world history, US history)
Foreign Language: 1 (ASL I)
Electives: 7 (health/fitness, semester of art exploration, semester beg. digital photo, semester of high school transition, two years of leadership, commercial photo 1 and 2, semester of creative cooking, semester of photo portfolio, semester of auditorium tech)

My current cumulative GPA is 3.77 unweighted (we don't have weighted GPAs).

Basically, I'm terrified of taking chemistry especially because it sounds extremely difficult and I am NOT a math/science person. I figure AP lit will absorb my life enough. Leadership and ASL II are the only relaxing classes I have (though I've heard advanced math topics and psychology aren't tooo terrible). I'm pretty sure I have no way to get into a decent college without taking chemistry or physics so... yeah. I wanted to take it online during the summer to get it out of the way, but it would cost like $500 for all the places I've found, which I can't do.

Basically, thoughts and opinions on my schedule (suggested changes), examples of colleges I should be able to get into possibly, thoughts on the whole chemistry/science situation, etc.?

Sorry for the long post. Please reply! Thank you.
