Senior Year Courseload

Hey guys!

I was wondering if I could have some advice on classes for next year.

I plan on taking:
AP Calculus AB
AP Physics B
AP Literature & Composition
Honors Human Behavior
Gym (required)

This allows me one more class in my schedule.
I am torn between taking:
AP Statistics
AP French
AP Studio Art- Drawing
AP Government & Politics (would be online...already took AP US History this year)

Any suggestions?

Does anyone have experience in any of these classes? Any comments?

Thank you!

Which class would be more beneficial? Is there one that a college really wants to see?

Some colleges dont accept gov credit.

Would you look at mine?

I had a lot of issues this year medically so ive just been taking two classes - calc i & basic english.

im thinking for next year:
health - unless i can get it over with during summer
ap english language - hopefully
basic or honors physics - i struggle with geometry
basic, honors or ap gov - i dont know how well i will be by september

i unfortunately need all these classes :frowning:
(i also might do an extra year because of how sick i was & stuff with SATs but not sure yet)

considering prelaw, neurosci & accounting as well as a few others

I’m considering similar majors!

That’s good to know about AP government; i’ll take that off the list since I’ve already had US History, and there are so many other options. Plus, an online class doesn’t seem that fun…

I think your schedule looks good! My school will have AP English Language next year for the first time. It will be offered to Juniors so I will not have had the opportunity to take it. I’ve heard great things about it though!
Try to take honors if you can! You can always drop down to an easier level if it’s too challenging.

I hope you feel better so you can enjoy your next year!

AP US History? Favorite class ever lol I had a really good year last year so I took it & got a 4.

If you really are interested in AP gov I’d check collegeboard for the colleges you’re looking at - I just know for some reason like 4 out of my top 6 schools don’t take it for some reason.

I was originally supposed to have AP English Language this year but couldn’t do it so I took a senior english so i could take it next year because it sounded great.

I decided on
AP English Language
AP US Gov
Hon Physics
Stocks management (turned out i dont need health?)

I might have to change it though :(

I’d probably lean toward Stats - it’s supposed to be an incredibly useful class. If you think two math classes might be too much, I’d probably go with AP French if it will likely get you out of a foreign language course or gen ed requirements. If it won’t go with whichever you think you’ll enjoy most.

I heard AP stat is good & my best friend is taking AP Studio art + ap calc next year. For the majors youre looking at stat is probably better, but if you like art (i cant drawl for my life, writing is my creativity) and want diversity go for art!

Thanks for the help everyone!
I decided on taking AP Statistics alongside the other courses I listed up top. I figured it could be extremely helpful towards any career.

Good luck to everyone next year!
