Senior year GPA

Does my first semester gpa bring up my overall in time for college admissions? Just wondering.

It depends. Have you looked at when the cutoff dates for submitting your admissions package at the schools you are looking at? Some schools have a fixed date others use rolling admissions.

Even if you are able to use your first semester of 12th grade, your GPA won’t change much because you would be dividing by 7 instead of 6 semesters.

For Regular Decision, yes.

It still depends on the high school calendar and the college dates. At our local high school district, the semester wraps around to Jan and the grades aren’t available until mid-Jan.

Yes. If you’re applying to typical reg decision deadlines (Dec 31 or Jan 1), the first semester grades for your senior year will be added in with your first six semesters when your HS sends in your transcript and school report.
