I have gotten straight As for the last three semesters and am applying to pretty selective colleges such as Cornell, USC, UCLA, and UCBerkeley. I am going to get one B and six As this semester.
How much do colleges care about a B in first semester senior year? How important are these grades. I’m a little worried.
If you don’t get it, it won’t be because if one B
UCB and UCLA only consider Senior grades for keeping your provisional admission not in your admission decisions. One B Senior year will not make a difference on your chances for an acceptance.
So that’s one B among, what, about 55-60 semester grades? In one part of your application.
I can’t say it means nothing (other than in California), as every part of an application is considered, but it’s impact is certainly very close to zero.
