I know that having bad grades in senior year is tragic...
but would having one B+ really really bad?
I'm taking 2 more ap classes compared to last year,
and I have one B+ and everything else A or A+

My school's midyear report includes second quarter as well, and for second quarter I'm pretty sure I can get straight As.

My school's reputation is also worrying me.
My school is not exactly.... an academically strong school.
So, I've heard not alot of colleges consider valedictorians from our school that great.
But then, now I have B+ in my senior year... would it look really bad?
Would they reject me just because of this grade?

BTW, I'm applying to all Ivies and many match schools and couple of safeties...

Let’s just say that if you ever got an “S for Satisfactory” on a 3rd grade report card, you will be digging graves for your career and no one will ever marry you.

You’re fine. If you can’t do anything about it at this point, don’t worry about it.

Why are you applying to all of the ivies? They are all so different. I’ve never met any one who actually liked them all… I mean, there are city schools, rural schools, big schools, and small schools within the ivy league. Plus, if you are applying to all eight ivies, plus “many” others and 2 or so safeties, you are going to be writing SOO many essays and paying WELL over a thousand dollars in app fees/test sending fees. Of course its your choice, I just can never imagine doing so, ha. Good luck though! And I’m sure you’ll end up somewhere great! :)

Yes, a B+ calls for auto rejection.

A B+ shouldn’t be a big issue–won’t colleges only see your semester grades anyway? Maybe your school does its transcripts differently. It might matter at the most competitive schools, where it could seem like you’re slacking a bit senior year. But no one can really tell you if, and how much, it’ll matter.

And I agree with the poster who asked why you’re applying to all eight Ivies. They’re incredibly different environments that, other than prestige, offer incredibly different things to their students. Apply to schools that fit you.
