Senior year midyear report grades - what if they're you're best?

Hey all,
I have no trouble finding hoards of information online about how much it sucks to have bad first semester senior grades. But say you have your best semester ever in that timespan (straight A’s in 5 APs and 2 DE), at the most competitive schools (think HPY), how much can this potentially help your case? I know that “they like seeing an upward trend” but I really mean like quantitatively speaking how much it can help?

I hope so, I want to know the answer to this as well

Its definitely a good thing as long as your GPA was already in range

Same, I got all A’s in 5 AP classes lol. Compared to the B’s I got in my AP classes last year.

Me too! No AP’s. But straight A’s in 8 classes. I wonder since my mid year report comes out next week if it’ll help in the march decision making process.
