<p>I was wondering if many people get their recommendations from a teacher you had senior year? Obviously, I would have had the teacher for only a couple months but is it still a good idea to get a recommendation from them?</p>
<p>I’m considering it. She would be an advisor in two of my clubs (well, lit mag and writing club–kind of but not really the same thing) and has known about me and my writing for a while, though. You have to decide whether this person will know you well enough to write a rec. Many teachers prefer not to write senior year recs, since they don’t feel comfortable evaluating you after such a short period of time. Perhaps your teacher is one of those, and the point is moot.</p>
