I’m currently registering for classes my senior year, and I’m not sure which direction I want to go in. I know I want to major in molecular biology, and I’d like to apply to pretty selective schools, like Boston U, Uconn, Quinnipiac, etc. I currently have a 3.95 weighted GPA, around 3.5 unweighted. I know I’m taking the following classes for sure:
-AP/UCONN Lit
-Band (4th year)
-“Regular” (not honors) Pre Calc
-AP Bio
I have enough space for 3 more classes, and I don’t know if I should take regular (not honors) physics, biotech (which is considered honors at my school), honors Italian 4, AP Human Geo, or AP Physics 1. I’m not the strongest math student, I took “regular” Algebra 1 freshman year (ended year with a 90), honors Geometry sophomore year (due to scheduling errors) and ended the year with an 80, and am now taking “regular” Algebra 2 (with a 90), so I don’t know if it would be smart to take AP Physics 1, but my school doesn’t offer a honors physics class. Also, with wanting to be a science major, should I stop taking Italian to take more science related classes? My other issue is I don’t know if I should take AP Human Geo to have 4 full years of history classes. Which classes do you think would be best for me to take?
