This is my proposed senior schedule:
AP Lit
AP Calculus BC
AP Computer Science
AP Statistics
AP Gov
Independent Sci Research DE
World Religions/World of Ideas
I’m intending to major in finance or economics in college (Hopefully UVA), so I will be applying to the college of Arts and Sciences. Is this schedule rigorous enough? A lot of my friends are taking AP Physics C and I don’t really know if it’s necessary or not for me to take it as well. I’m not necessarily the best physics students even though I have an A somehow. I don’t want to take more than 6 AP’s, so if physics is necessary which AP class should I swap out? Thanks so much.
Btw I took AP Chem and AP Bio my sophomore year of HS
Colleges like to see a strong schedule, especially in your area of interest. You have that and given that you are not planning to major in a science, AP Physics is not necessary. Also some colleges do like to see four years of science, you can verify by looking at your colleges of interest at college data or google the specific college. Given you already took AP Chem and AP Bio I would assume you already have four years. IMO I would focus on classes that interest you and skip the Physics. Good luck!
Colleges will look upon your schedule for physics, but I really don’t think it’s necessary. Your schedule looks great!
I already am taking Dual Enrollment Physics this year. @ethanurban9
If you don’t want to take AP Physics, don’t. Take classes that you actually want to take, because then you’ll do better in them.
You don’t need AP Physics C. You already have three advanced science classes, you’re more than fine!
Have you reached Level 4 or AP in a foreign language?
@MYOS1634 Yes, I’ve taken up to latin 4.
So, you’re perfectly fine.
