Senioritis anyone?

Its second semester senior year, all of the pressure seems to be off... I've been taking it a little easier and have let two grades slide into the B range, keeping everything else at relatively the same level. I've been very curious though to see how other people are approaching their grades. Obviously senioritis exists, but I'd like to see to what extent among you, my peers. So, how much have you let your grades slide?

well first sem. I only got one B, but now I think 2 Bs are not going to kill me

Oh dear lord I never once thought that senioritis would be so intense and pervasive. I have hit rock bottom in my ability to care for anything. My grades are still relatively the same but I've become completely incapable of doing hw at home anymore (I have resorted to doing each classes work in other classes), can no longer be bothered by studying amongst various other factors. Like, for instance, I used to actually read the books assigned to us in English. Then for quite a while I simply sparknoted them and now, I don't even do that. I simply walk into class every day completely unaware of even the most basic information of the novels like the main characters. Senioritis will be my downfall...

I wish I could do that; unlike most other schools it seems, completely checking out in mine means automatic failure... even half assing it puts you in jeopardy of failing

I'm desperately trying to fight it but I'm slipping :(

I embrace senioritis. Well, at least the not doing homework part of it. My grades aren't slipping too bad though.
However, I feel like I should be doing something more productive than browsing through CC. Like reading good books or something like that. Senioritis makes me not want to do anything slightly academic, which unfortunately includes reading. Either that or I feel bad that I'm reading for pleasure instead of reading my English books.

Luckily, senioritis leads me to not care about any of that.

Read The Worldly Philosophers

It's hitting me really bad right now...but more in the office space way. When a teacher goes on a power trip, I get this incredibly powerful urge to tell them to bugger off. And don't get me wrong, it has always been there, but now I find myself, scarily enough, considering the option a reality...lol

Bartleby the Scrivener - Wikisource - Good short story for those feeling the senioritis.

I was kind of feeling the senioritis, but now I have had some pretty exciting things happen and doubt that I will slip back into the notorious "slide"....;).

@Beef Haha, we're reading that in AP Gov right now. As for senioritis, I'm feeling a bit of it but my grades have been higher than 9-11.

I've got more projects than anything else, so if I let Senioritis get to me, I'll be dropped below the "B" range...

Well, from a college student -- I honestly think that if you can relax yourselves without slipping too much, it's worth it, because remember -- soon you go off to college, and giving yourself a nice hibernation session (winding down early even) can help you have the steam necessary to really feel good about your first years. Your lives are barely beginning! And a highly crucial phase, at that, especially if you want to go on to graduate studies.

I did not take it easy like I should have, and really think I should have. I mean, the other thing is that generally grades only slip if you, say, just don't do the work for something. If you do things a bit more light-heartedly, usually results aren't so bad.

Unfortunately I'm the top rank so I have to keep all A's to keep val. At the moment I do have a B in AP Lit though =O I don't think that'll last though =]

I got IB so I am kind of at the top of my game haha... Just finished mock exams and was delighted to hear that real IB exams don't matter so I guess yeah... but somehow I still would like to get some credits for 1st year college.

I checked out a few weeks ago. i still do what i have to, i just dont care at all.

Meh, I don't have senioritis.

Mainly because I've had awful, lazy habits all throughout high school.

I find that I still care about interesting subjects, but can't really motivate myself to deal with boring material or bad teachers just to get the grade. When my grades slip, it always tends to happen in stupid classes like senior law, health, or pottery.

it is beggining to seem that the more I am beggining to slack off, the higher my grades are getting. I should of started senioritis long ago

I'm struggling to keep my 4.0, ahhh physics takes too much time for a lazy senior :)

heh, my senioritis is getting a little rediculous. i think i have almost a c in calc. But, math was always my worst subject, and if they accept me at stanford, it definitely wont be for my math skills. I have no interesting classes. i can't wait for college....
