For all of you ED accepties, how has the second half of your senior year been going?

I have been keeping up all my grades except one class - math.
Well, I am only saying this because I had my first test in that class and, well, I thought I could wing it (the real reason was that I had too many things due that same day and by the time I got done with the rest of my workload, it was 12 o'clock).

Meh, only math... I did get a 99 average in my other math class, though (Calc 3 and Linear Algebra are half semester courses).

Anyone else like me out there - one who can't stop working hard even though he/she has already been accepted into the best college in the world? ^_^

wow, it’s fantastic that your high school is offering Calc 3 and Linear Algebra to you. the maximum available where I went was Calc 1.

I didn’t stop working hard after I got in ED a few years ago…there were still things to learn! I’ve never been too sympathetic to claims of senioritis. my grades the second half of the year were entirely consistent with the first half (including the weak points.)

Yeah, I’m just like you guys haha I have all A’s and one B/B- in economics, but it will go up.

I agree with faustarp, there are still things to learn. I mean, we are taking AP courses, there will be AP exams and I want to get 5’s so that I don’t have to retake them at Cornell. That’s why I pay attention in class. But I don’t take school too seriously - I don’t stress out over a lower grade or sit until 12 am studying for a test, whoops, I did… at least 2 times already. But that’s not the point, the second semester is much easier and laid back for me.

Haha. Just the exact opposite here, sxeYustas.
School has been getting tougher - well, maybe because everything was due before vacation week (this week).

As for AP exams… Well, I want to do well in all of them except one - English.
Not cause I hate the class, no it’s pretty fun, but because I do not have the skills to get a 5 on it because of my horrible reading/writing [skills].

It will probably be the way you describe it, faustarn - that my grades will be consistent with my first semester ones. Hmm… Why can’t school just end when you get accepted to college?

Bumping for epicness…

how are you people still interested in school?
Im cruising on with straight Bs… down from all As and a two Bs
I think I’ve left the rest of my senior year to all my ephemeral desires building up over the years; lots of music and lots of partying hard
I sound like a total dumbarse but it’s true. I’ve gotta get out of this little town. I’m totes ready for Cornell LOL :)

No, I’m still maintaining an A+ average, senior year’s been AMAZING so far. Junior year was rough, I guess I could say I got Junioritis?

To those who don’t know - after seeing lilacbutterfly’s post - senioritis is when you stop caring about school during your senior year. It’s not when you get bad grades, though that is part of the process. :D

I also want to get out of my area… So much fun times to be had at places other than the rent’s house, eh? DX

Bumpppppppppppppppppppp!

I didn’t stop trying…However with less effort I have gone up in Econ, Physics C, Gov, and Lit. Math and gym took a 2 pt hit. NBD.

It is so nice to know how the summer is going to end.

Heh, unless you’re in because of an athletic scholarship, I don’t think a -2 on your PE class is going to do much. :D
