Seniors: How far are you on your applications?

I'm submitting two applications for Early Action (Nov. 1st deadline), and I've barely started. Plus I have about 6-8 other applications to submit for Regular Decision which I also have barely started. I have most of the basic information down and I even have a few teacher/counselor recs but I've gotten nowhere on the essays. Am I totally screwed or is this normal? Where are you guys at?

and I have a ****-ton of homework so this not looking good …

I’m finished. But the financial aid/scholarship quest has just begun and to me this is worse than applying to the schools.

I’m in the same boat as Yakyu Spirits

I’ve finished all my parts of my EA app and am on my supplemental essay of my ED app.

After that, I just need to get my parents to do their parts of the in-state tuition forms for both and after a final check to make sure everything’s good, I’ll be ready to submit. =)

Then comes the massive hunt for as many scholarships and grants as possible. xD

I’ve filled out a lot of biographical information stuff and written a Common App essay I don’t like that much, but my counselor does…I still have a lot of short answer questions/essays to write…that’s my current hurdle to get over.

My recs are being written… all my “basic info” has been put in. Now it’s just doing essays and finding scholarships before the deadine.

And of course making sure SAT/ACT is good this month.

I still have to write the essays, I should get to that…considering all my deadlines are Nov 1.

I have to write a bunch of those short statement things left for Nov 1, then I have like 5 essays to do for December. I also have SAT II’s next week.

Sent in 3, already accepted to 1. Still planning on sending at least 3 more in

Out of the eight schools I am applying to.

Done: Georgia Tech, Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and University of Michigan

Almost Done: Purdue University and University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign

Haven’t Started: University of Connecticut and Rochester Institute of Technology

I am not in a bad place, but I probably should finish those two schools I am almost done with!

I haven’t started.
I mean, I have a rough draft of my essay.

I’m focused on the SAT right now. Then I’ll have to study for the SAT IIs.
My first one if I decided to do ED will be due Nov 15, so I have some time.
After that, It’s Nov 30. If I do ED and get accepted, the one due Nov 30
will be the only other app I will have had to do. Otherwise, I have until Dec. 30 after that.

I’m in no rush. Applying ED depends on how I do on the SAT this weekend. Then I’ll tour my top two schools, and if I like one more than the other, I will apply ED and get started on my app.

Common App, check
Supplements, check
Teacher Recs, check
Essay, TBA
