What if your school only offers two AP's? (Well, actually 3, but I don't think enough ppl have ever signed up for American History for it to become a class, so just English and Calc AB). I go to a lower-middle -class public HS and am worried this might hurt my chances for Harvard.

There are lots of ways to self-study for AP tests, if a person doesn't have some other form of academic challenge locally.

ChrisCuber, just make the most of what your school has to offer. Harvard wants to see that you take advantage of every educational opportunity available to you.

tokenadult, you are right, and everyone listen to this person because it is true that you can study for an AP and actually do well on it without taking the class. Sophomore year my friend took the AP European History exam and never set foot in the AP classroom.

APs aren't everything. I got in early and I didn't start taking APs until my senior year (4 this year)... and my school offers TONS of APs. BUT, I have leadership and extracurriculars. Show them passion, numbers arent everything.

I'm thinking of studying for AP World History during Spring Break so I can take that test.

Oh and strangely enough, I'll be taking the AP Psychology exam in May, and I had a dream last night I got a 5 on it.
