Seniors, what are you safeties?

"@ChoklitRain : bro with your stas any school other than the upper-mid IVYs should be a safety "

unfortunately these days high grades/scores will only get you in reliably at numbers-driven publics, but thanks for the support anyway

No safeties here…applying to all reaches. If I don’t get in i’m okay with community college.

Rutgers/TCNJ

@iEatReeds

Why wouldn’t you? Nearly everyone I know, at least the top 50% gets their acceptance pretty early. A lot with full scholarship. More get in after that. I guess it depends on the competitiveness of your school.

Wait, what’s ChoklitRain’s redeeming quality again? His 2400 PSAT?

U Maryland
GW
Harvard

UMass Amherst and either UMass Lowell or UMass Dartmouth

“Wait, what’s ChoklitRain’s redeeming quality again? His 2400 PSAT?”

whoa, easy there. i also ran 2 miles in under 10 minutes, and have 2 generations of legacy at both penn(wharton) and princeton ;)

^i have none of that and harvard is still my safety

Wowzers. You certainly are impressive.

wow! i just read all that and was really impressed. if anyone cares, my safeties are ucsd down. i dont plan on applying to uc merced or ucsc because no way in hell i’d go there. but i’m not applying to any private safeties- complete waste of time and money.

btw, my school limits us to only 6 secondary school reports. so basically only 6 privates (and some publics too). does anyone else’s school do that?

^They pay for 3, and then after that we need to pay $3 for each one they send out.

They also discourage us from applying to more than 4 schools.

no mcdonald’s for me… BK - have it your way

A sub 10 2-mile won’t do you any good at a Div 1 school

^ yeah, but she asked for redeeming qualities. i count it as one even if a lot of track coaches don’t :)

My Safety is UAlabama…
but i might apply in state to PSU as another safety…but i hate PSU and love UA…so we’ll see

FSU and UGA

Fair enough

JMU, GMU, Boston U, V Tech…

People tell me I’ll easily get in, but some of those are people’s top choices…either way I’m nervous that I don’t have enough safeties.

UCSC and Cal State Northridge, are my fall back schools.

interestingly, i originally read this thread’s title as “Seniors, what are your professions?” and expected the first post to be “HAWOO! HAWOO! HAWOO!” …the f***was i thinking lol

…Old Dominion University.
