So with the college admissions season coming up, I figured I'd hear from everyone else and what their safeties are and possibly get an idea as to what to consider for myself from everyone else. I mean, I have some in mind but they're more matches than safeties really (American, Boston U, OSU, etc). Otherwise, I haven't the slightest idea as I really can't see myself being happy at anything lower than those.

Cardinal Stritch, McDonalds University

harvard .

JMU, but it’s also one of my top choices.

my community college. but if i’d end up in there, it would be far worse than a nightmare.

University of Texas at Dallas. it admits anyone…you just have to be in the top 25% of your class with a certain SAT score. the ultimate safety! =D

Trinity University in San Antonio and University of Texas at Austin are both safeties (well, Trinity’s probably a match), but they’re about the only two schools I’m looking at, so.

i forgot to put yale on there as well

desi chick- I agree! I’d rather shoot myself before it came down to that, lol.

Junie- That seems like a good deal!

buriedalie- That must be nice not worrying if you’re going to get into the school you want!

Don’t really have a safety though I’m thinking I can get accepted into University of Iowa ( due to point system) just not sure if I would be offered great financial aid. Also think I may have a good chance of acceptance at Beloit, which has been ranked for great financial aid by princetonreview.com which is a plus.

<— Rutgers

University of Florida (DO NOT WANT)
University of Minnesota, Twin Cities (Would be more than happy to attend)

I never really thought about a safety, but probably Bradley University.

One of my state schools that’s not UVA, William and Mary, and Odu.
I don’t know which one yet.

Rutgers and Penn State.

Wow, must have done well in school to consider University of Minnesota- Twin Cities a safety.

Michigan. i can apply next month and get in based on stats.

Coolbreeze - Well, my brother didn’t exactly have great stats (3.6 UW, 32 ACT, not really any awards, but he took the most challenging schedule the school had to offer) and he got in with a scholarship…and I have better stats, so I think I’m pretty sure I can get it. And they want OOS students, so… URM also, so that might help.

Buffalo and Syracuse

NC State and UNC-Chapel Hill
