<p>So guys here is what happened.
I gave my SAT in june .. got 2090
M:790
CR:610
W:690
Respectable scores, which I sent in my application to 3 UC schools ( UCLA , UCB, UCSD) and UIUC (University of illinois at Urbana Champaign) .
So I recently gave my ACT in december.. on december 13th.. and I know for certain that I did not do too well.. or atleast not as well as my SAT score represents. Now the problem lies in the fact that I made use of the ACT free score reports.. and the score is going to be received by these 4 universities.. and I cannot cancel the scores now. I thought I did delete those 2 reports.. But i was wrong.. maybe the system messed up i don't know. Point is these 4 universities are going to be able to see my ACT scores.. but I know i did better in SAT.
Any advice guys? In particular.. do universities look at the higher of the 2? Will doing particularly bad in one hamper my chances to get admitted? Because my SAT scores are.. about in the median for these universities.. and I don't want to ruin my chances with the ACT stuff.. I want to shoot myself in the foot right now.. what a rookie mistake :(</p>
<p>Guys I don’t want to unnecessarily bump my post… But im really super nevous about this. Please someone help </p>
<p>You’re over thinking this. You’ll be fine. No one will care that you had one off day. The other day, you certainly shined – that’s what’s going to matter.</p>
<p>Thanks for the reassurance! But my only worry is that… Will universities factor the poor ACT score in? </p>

<p>No, most schools will look at your highest score, so it doesn’t matter.</p>
<p>Most people recognize that students are either better at one test or the other (thats why many GCs suggest taking both, to see which) so the disparity in scores won’t surprise anyone. And schools have a strong incentive to use your higher score, because it keeps their rankings numbers up. I wouldn’t spend another moment worrying about this.</p>
