The summer of my sophomore year, I mistakenly sent my ACT scores from my sophomore year to 4 colleges (didn’t know better; it was supposed to be practice), and while my composite was excusable for a sophomore (29), my writing score was horrific (though I forgot the exact score). One of the schools was UChicago, which I chose just to have a fourth school (seriously, I was totally unaware of what I was doing when I was signing up lol). I don’t plan on taking the ACT/SAT with essay anymore, but now that I already sent it, will it look really bad? As I’ve said before, I don’t remember the exact score, but it was definitely very, very bad.
Thanks
well, you submitted it so they will consider it, assuming they have it. But I don’t think its a big deal. So this was a score from last year, right? I wouldn’t worry too much. The essay has been redesigned since then. The old format was ridiculous. I don’t think it will be given much weight at all. But U Chicago is going to want to see a higher score than 29, so take it again.
Yup, it was a score from last year. It was meant to be practice, really. Yeah, I think it was the old ACT essay. Indeed, I will, for sure, have to raise my ACT or get a good score on the SAT. Okay, that’s good to hear, although I’m hoping they will just completely disregard it, since it was taken in my sophomore year anyway.
