I just received my letter of rejection to the main campus, which was my first choice and got sent to Pitt- Johnston instead. Is there absolutely any chance that I can call the admission council and ask why I did not get into the main one, and ask them to possibly reconsider the decision? I got into other good schools, I'm just really upset and confused as to why I didn't get into the main campus.

Pitt-main is very competitive. Where your admissions profile needs to be is easy to find online. Google Pitt Common Data Set. If you are near those statistics, sure, call and plead your case. If you aren’t near those statistics, your best bet for Pitt-main is to transfer in from Pitt-Johnstown after a year or two.

Here is the data set for last year’s admission: http://www.ir.pitt.edu/cds/documents/CDS_2013-2014Pittsburgh.pdf
